Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-August 25, 2014
Maverick County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the FM 2030/FM 1021 area at approximately 5:44 AM Saturday morning, in reference to a burglary of habitation that had just occurred. Upon arrival to said area, deputies observed a vehicle matching the description given on El Indio highway driving towards Eagle Pass. Units attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, but the driver refused to stop. With the assistance of the Eagle Pass Police department, sheriff's deputies were able to block the vehicle by the alley way of Roosevelt and Luis Street. A twelve year old juvenile was detained and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
