Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-On Thursday May 1st, at approximately 3:29 PM, Maverick County Sheriff's office responded to a motor vehicle accident by Maverick County Lake. Upon arrival, deputies observed an unoccupied purple Dodge Caravan SE that had collided into a wooden post. A male witness advised officers he had seen a male subject wearing a white t-shirt and khaki shorts exit the vehicle and leave the scene, walking towards South Veterans Boulevard. The Eagle Pass Police Department later made contact with a male subject fitting the same description on South Veterans Boulevard. The vehicle was impounded and the male subject was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. This case is under investigation.
