Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Highway 277 N. Thursday morning after receiving a call in reference to a theft report. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the complainant, who stated that somewhere between the hours of 10 AM Wednesday March 26, 2014 and 9 AM Thursday March 27, 2014, unknown suspect(s) gained illegal entry to the Briguintor Company oil site by breaking the locks at the gate. The unknown suspect(s) then entered the site on an unknown 18-wheeler, possibly a vacuum truck, and took approximately 120 barrels of crude oil. The stolen product has an estimated value of $12,000.00. The case is currently under investigation.
