Sheriff Tom Schmerber and key staffers traveled to Laredo, Texas on Thursday, January 23, 2014 to meet with Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar and his administrative cabinet. Discussions centered on daily operations for each respective county and the prospect of working cohesively on joint operations in the near future. The Maverick County Sheriff will host a second round of meetings this week, as Webb County Sheriff’s officials will be in town to discuss local operations and tour the Maverick County Detention Center.
In the second year of his administration, Sheriff Schmerber remains steadfast in proactively continuing to forge strong relationships with surrounding counties.
