Possession of a Controlled Substance-Units responded to the international port of entry this morning after agents at the port detained two subjects travelling in a 2006 Lincoln pick-up truck. A secondary inspection of a utility trailer the truck had been hauling yielded the discovery of 22.24 kilograms of cocaine and 10.8 kilograms of methamphetamine. The subjects, fifty-three year old Ruben Martinez and seventy-six year old Ofelia Soto, were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
Wanted Person-Deputies this morning arrested thirty-four year old Manuel Del Rio at the international port of entry 1 after a background check had revealed an open warrant. The warrant out of Dallas County was confirmed and Del Rio was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Possession of a Controlled Substance-A unit was dispatched to the international port of entry 1 this afternoon, whereupon arrival contact was made with agents at the port who advised a male subject attempting to cross into the US from Mexico had been detained. A secondary inspection of the subject's vehicle found approximately 1.8 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed within the car and the subject, thirty-six year old Alfonso Carmona was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Information Report-County units responded to a vehicle pursuit coming in from Dimmit County off of Highway 277 East this afternoon. Units assisted Texas Department of Public Safety troopers whom were leading the chase on a red Ford Escape heading into the city of Eagle Pass. The suspect vehicle proceeded to drive onto Main St. where it collided with a 2019 Dodge Ram exiting a restaurant. Several subjects were taken into custody and provided medical assistance. The Texas Department of Public Safety has taken over investigations.
