Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle/Motor Vehicle Accident-A deputy observed a 2013 White Chrysler 300 travelling at a high rate of speed on North Veterans Boulevard early this morning, prompting a short pursuit after the vehicle failed to yield for a traffic stop. The vehicle reached speeds at over 110 miles per hour before going airborne and striking a curb on South Veterans Blvd, causing it to roll over multiple times before coming to a complete stop inside the canal. Deputies were able to remove the seventeen year old male subject from the vehicle and an EMS crew was summoned to transport the male to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. The driver is now pending charges.
Wanted Person-Jose Anibal Moreno was taken into custody at the international port of entry 2 this afternoon after agents at the port reported a background check on Moreno revealed an active warrant out of the US Marshals Service for probation violation. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
