Possession of a Controlled Substance/Public Intoxication-A unit patrolling FM1021 early this morning conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy Impala after observing the driver disregard a red light Contact was made with the driver and passenger of the vehicle, identified as Daniel Jimenez, Jr. and Gilberto Martinez, Jr. who displayed signs of intoxication. bloodshot eyes, and a slurred speech. A consensual search found Mr. Martinez to be in possession of a clear bag containing a white powdery substance which would test positive for cocaine. He was placed under arrest on possessions charges and Mr. Jimenez was taken into custody for public intoxication. They were both transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-Julio Cesar Macias was arrested at the international port of entry 2 this morning after being detained by agents at the port when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant out of Harris County on Hit and Run charges was confirmed and Macias was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.
