Maverick County Daily Reports-May 06, 2018

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies this afternoon responded to shots fired in the area near Venesa Street. Upon arrival, contact was made with two subjects on the 800 block of Venesa who admitted to firing their rifle. Both subjects would be cited, however, one subject refused to sign. Harvey Velasquez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing before later being released on a citation.

Evading Arrest or Detention/Public Intoxication-Deputies performing Stonegarden operations this evening attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle which disregarded a stop sign. The vehicle would make a stop on the 600 block of Wildwood before the driver would exit the vehicle and fled the area on foot. The subject, Armando Saenz Barrera, was apprehended after a brief pursuit and was taken into custody.
