Wanted Persons-Deputies responded to the international port of entry this morning after agents at the port detained two individuals attempting to enter the United States when a check revealed active warrants for their arrest. The warrants out of Val Verde County for Jonathan Velez and Yanira Ivette Mendoza were confirmed and the two were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Theft-A resident on the 4000 block of Clavel Street reported an unknown subject(s) had entered his property and took several items of value without consent.
Assault-Deputies met with a female subject on the 5700 block of FM 1021, where she reported being involved in a verbal argument with a known female that escalated into a physical confrontation.
