Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the USBP checkpoint this morning, where agents at the location detained a male subject identified as Maxwell Stawichi after a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Smith County was confirmed and Mr. Stawichi was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident/Hit and Run/Damage to Property-A resident on the 4100 block of Deer Run Blvd. reported a pickup truck had driven onto her property and damaged a trailer, fence line, and waterline. Upon inspection, the resident also noticed the truck had caused damages to three vehicles parked inside the property. The pickup truck fled the scene prior to the deputies arrival.
Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) had made an unauthorized withdrawal from her bank account without consent.
Burglary of Residence-A complainant on Casales Street reported unknown subject(s) had entered his property without consent and took several items from his residence.
Animal Cruelty-A resident on County Road reported unknown subject(S) had shot her French Poodle.
Damage to Property-A resident on the 4200 block of Tina Drive told deputies unknown actor(s) had attempted to pry open the driver's side door to a vehicle and damaged it.
Fraud-A complainant arrived at the Sheriff's Office lobby to report he had purchased a motorcycle online. Money was sent but the motorcycle was never received.
