Driving While Intoxicated-Deputies conducted a traffic stop this morning after they observed a red Dodge Avenger traveling at a high rate of speed. Further investigations found that the driver, identified as Jerry Rodriguez, was intoxicated and unfit to operate a motor vehicle. Mr. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Information Report-A deputy patrolling US Highway 57 witnessed four subjects walking on the shoulder of the highway. The subjects, upon viewing the vehicle, ran before stopping. Further investigation revealed the three male subjects and one male subject to be of Honduran nationality and were in the United States illegally. All four were turned over to the custody of the United States Border Patrol.
Missing Person-A male complainant on Escondido Street told deputies he had not seen or heard from his brother and feared for his safety because the last time he had seen him, his brother was heavily intoxicated.
Sexual Assault-Deputies spoke with a female over the phone who wished to report a sexual assault.
Reckless Driving-Deputies patrolling the Maverick County Lake Friday evening observed a pickup truck traveling at a high rate a speed in the presence of pedestrians. Roberto Christopher Salinas was arrested on reckless driving charges.
