Daily Reports-September 03, 2021

Burglary of Habitation-A resident on the 2300 block of Eidson Road reported unknown subject(s) had entered his home without consent and took several rifles, shotguns, and ammunition from the location. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division. 

Wanted Person-Deputies patrolling Ferrer Road this morning observed a fugitive outside of a residence. Contact was made with the subject, thirty-one year old Fernando Rodriguez, whose background check revealed an active warrant out of the US Marshals Service on a probation violation. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Wanted Person-City of Eagle Pass Police officers made contact with deputies this afternoon after having detained a male subject with several active warrants out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. The warrants for the individual identified as Juan Jaime Stockley were confirmed and custody of Stockley was turned over to deputies. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Possession of a controlled Substance-A minor traffic violation on n. Veterans Blvd. led to a traffic stop on a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche this afternoon. Contact was made with the driver, thirty-one year old Francisco Matamoros, Jr., who granted deputies consent to search his vehicle. Deputies located a crumpled up cigarette box containing a crystalized substance and a small bag containing a green leafy substance which would test positive for methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana. Mr. Matamoros was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Murder-Units responded to Progresso Street this evening in reference to a possible shooting at the location. Upon arrival, it was revealed a physical altercation had occurred between two male subjects which later escalated into a shooting. A forty-eight year old male subject needed additional medical attention and was transported to the the emergency room before succumbing to the injury. The second subject was detained and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further investigation.
