Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz./Driving while License Invalid-Deputies this morning arrested a forty-four year old female found asleep behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry parked at a gas station. The vehicle in question was observed parked improperly and impeding traffic to the fuel pumps at the Shell Convivence store on the 1900 block of S. Veterans Blvd. Contact was made with the driver later identified as Christina Dava Kelly, who appeared disoriented and refused medical attention. A background check revealed a suspended license for Ms. Kelly and a search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of a black cylinder containing marijuana characteristics in her open purse. Ms. Kelly also turned over a marijuana joint found in her sweater pocket. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
