Possession of a Controlled Substance/Marijuana under 2 oz.- A traffic stop at the intersection of Potro St. and Encuentro St. in the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County this morning led to the arrest of thirty-one year old Hugo Rodriguez after he was found in possession of marijuana and methamphetamine during a routine traffic stop. Rodriguez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.   

Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of Marijuana-A deputy patrolling North Veterans Blvd. this morning conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am seen traveling with no license plates. Contact was made with the driver, Leopoldo Rivera Narvaez, and a search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of apporximtley 25.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 2.5 grams of cocaine, and .22 ounces of marijuana. Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant reported to deputies that upon arrival at her residence, she observed her front door had been forcefully opened. The complainant further advised a 50 inch television and two jewelry boxes had been taken without consent. A formal report was filed. 

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to the 200 block of Lucky Eagle Road after a 2010 Dodge Avenger had reportedly turned over. Upon arrival, the vehicle in question was found an unoccupied and flipped upside down. No property was found damaged and the vehicle was towed to the county yard by a local wrecker service for further investigation.
