Wanted Person-A unit was dispatched to the international port of entry 2 at approximately 3:00 PM this afternoon after agents at the port detained a male subject whose check revealed an open warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of the Austin Police Department for the subject, twenty year old Anthony Zavala, on burglary of habitation charges was confirmed and Mr. Zavala was taken into custody before being transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-A deputy responded to the Las Quintas sector of Maverick County this afternoon after Emergency Operations Center officers advised they had detained a male subject with an active warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, it was revealed the subject, forty-four year old Mercedes Martinez, had an open warrant out of Maverick County for theft of a firearm. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Theft-A resident on Ferrer Road reported known subject(s) entered his property and took several items without consent. A formal report was filed.
