Maverick County Daily Reports-January 31, 2018

Motor Vehicle Accident/Driving While Intoxicated/Public Intoxication-At approximately 3 AM this morning, deputies were dispatched to Rosita Valley Road after a 2010 red Ford Mustang had been involved in a single motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver, who requested EMS services and was later transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for further evaluation. A passenger, Gilberto Jimenez, was highly intoxicated and taken into custody before being transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. After further investigation, it was determined the Mustang had been travelling southbound on Rosita Valley Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a fence and a tree. The driver is pending charges of Driving while Intoxicated.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 30, 2018

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. -Deputies conducting a traffic stop on FM1021 this morning made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who began to act in a nervous fashion. A pat down was conducted on the driver, identified as Salvador Alexis Arroyo, who was found to be in possession of a clear bag containing marijuana. Mr. Arroyo was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

DWI-A stop on a 1999 GMC Sierra for a minor infraction on Memo Robinson Road this evening revealed the driver, Alberto George Rosales, was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.




Maverick County Daily Reports-January 29, 2018

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on the 100 block of Pino reported unknown subject(s) had entered her home and took several items without consent.

Wanted Person-A deputy patrolling US Highway 277 North conducted a traffic stop where it was revealed the driver had an active warrant out of Maverick County. Juan Francisco Moreno was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after the warrant was confirmed.

Wanted Person-A check on a male subject attempting to enter the United States via the international port of entry 2 revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant for the subject identified as Ricky Gomez was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 28, 2018

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Francisco Javier Gutierrez at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 after a background check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Wilson County was confirmed and Mr. Gutierrez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Pedro Castaneda was taken into custody when a check revealed an active warrant out of Bexar County. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the international port of entry 2 this evening after agents at the port detained a male subject when a check revealed an active warrant out of Brazos County. David Wayne Cooper was arrested when the warrants were confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.


Maverick County Daily Reports-January 27, 2018

Public Intoxication-Deputies on patrol this morning made contact with a male subject walking along Baltica Street. Manuel Ovalle, Jr. displayed a slurred speech, unstable balance, and an unknown alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Juan Manuel Villarreal and Miguel Angel Diaz, Jr. were both taken into custody this morning after they displayed signs of intoxication. The two were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 900 block of Albores reported unknown subject(s) shattered the rear window to her vehicle and punctured her two rear tires. A report was filed.

Theft-A resident on the 200 block of Sunset Loop reported her ex-boyfriend had taken her vehicle without consent. The vehicle would later be located and released to the owner.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 22, 2018

Possession of Dangerous Drugs-Deputies patrolling Cenizo Heights conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Mazda 306 for a minor infraction this morning. Contact was made with the Nathan Valdez, the driver, who gave consent to search the vehicle, which yielded in the discovery of Alprazalam and Tramadol by the dashboard. Mr. Valdez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Jorge Alberto Cazarez was placed under arrest this morning after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A unit responded to the international port of entry one after CBP agents at the port detained a female subject whose background check revealed an active warrant. The warrant for Ashlee Gail Gober was confirmed and Ms. Gober was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) had abused a company credit card which was to be used solely for company purchases. A report was filed.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress on Frente Street this afternoon, whereupon arrival, made contact with the complainant who reported his son was acting in a disorderly manner. After further investigation, Javier Hernandez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A County unit was dispatched to the international port of entry #2 this evening after agents at the port detained a female subject who was found in possession of green leafy substance. Upon arrival, a test of the substance was conducted, which tested positive for approximately 2.4 grams of marijuana. Adriana Krystal Garcia, the subject in question, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Sergio Contreras was taken into custody at the international port of entry #2 this evening when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Deputies made contact with United States Border Patrol agents this evening after they encountered a male subject found in an intoxicated state. Contact was made Antonio De La Cruz, who displayed bloodshot eyes, unstable balance, and an alcoholic odor emitting from his person. For his safety and the safety of others, he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 21, 2018

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Old Pioneer Road, whereupon arrival witnessed a silver Dodge Neon engulfed in flames and a male subject with severe burns found laying unconscious. EMS crews were summoned to the scene and the subject, later identified as Vince Ibarra, was airlifted to San Antonio, Texas via Air-Evac.

 After further investigation, it was determined the Neon had been travelling Northbound on Old Pioneer Road when it veered off the road, striking a light pole. A subject passing the scene reported observing the vehicle in flames and Mr. Ibarra unconscious in the passenger seat. He was able to drag Ibarra out of the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.

A search of area for the driver came to no avail. This case remains under investigation.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Manuel Reyes Camacho at the port of entry #2 this afternoon after a check revealed an active warrant four his arrest out of Jackson County. The warrant was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Units responded to the 1000 block of Mariza Street in reference to a family violence in progress. Upon arrival, deputies observed two female subjects in the middle of the street involved in a verbal altercation. Contact was made with one female, thirty-six year old Janie Rocha, who displayed a slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and a strong alcoholic odor emitting from her person. She was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 1100 block of Wildwood reported unknown subject(s) entered her 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe and took several items without consent.


Maverick County Daily Reports-January 19, 2018

DWI/Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to the 400 block of South Bibb Avenue early this morning in reference to a motor vehicle accident at the location. Upon arrival, contact was made City of Eagle Pass Police officers who reported three units at the scene of a traffic stop had been struck by a 2006 Ford F150 travelling southbound. EMS crews were summoned to the scene,where one officer was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further medical treatment. Pedro Talamantes III, identified as the driver of the Ford pickup, refused to give a specimen of his breath as well as failing to perform a field sobriety test. He was taken into custody on DWI charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Recovered Narcotics-Contact was made with United States Border Patrol agents who advised that in the midst of detained three undocumented citizens, one subject was found with a small plastic bag containing marijuana. The narcotics were recovered and placed in the evidence locker for safekeeping.

Wanted Person-Thirty-six year old Glenn Garza was placed under arrest this morning after initially being detained by CBP agents at the port when a check revealed two active warrants. The warrants out of New Mexico and El Dorado, Texas were both confirmed and Mr. Garza was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Building-A complainant on Cristian Street reported unknown subject(s) gained entry to her building currently under construction and took approximately $600.00 worth of electrical wiring from the premises without consent.

Assault/Theft-Units responded to the 1700 block of Valerie Street this morning, where a complainant reported a known male subject had assaulter her and took her necklace. The male subject then left the scene in an unknown direction.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to the 200 block of Lariat this evening after a resident reported her boyfriend in a highly intoxicated state. The subject, identified as Johnathan David Valdez, had begun throwing beer bottles inside the home, causing visible damages. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault-A complainant advised she had been involved in an altercation with a known male subject that escalated into a physical confrontation. The complainant wished to file report.

Theft-A resident on US Highway 277 North reported a known female subject had taken several items from her residence without consent.

Id Theft-A complainant reported unknown actor(s) have been using her personal information without her consent.

Wanted Person-A stop for a minor traffic infraction on FM1021 this evening revealed one of the occupants of the vehicle to have an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Uvalde, Texas for Bernardo Sotelo III was confirmed and he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 16, 2018

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 277 East this morning after a the driver of a 2013 tractor trailer lost control of the trailer, causing it jack knife. The driver would refuse medical attention at the time of this report.

Driving while License Invalid-A traffic stop conducted on a 2008 Hyundai Elantra this morning revealed the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Rolando Javier Rodriguez was then taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person/Public Intoxication-Deputies patrolling Wild Oak this evening made contact with the occupants of a suspicious vehicle parked along the side of the road this evening. Alfredo Martinez, the driver of the vehicle, was found to have an active warrant out of Minnesota. His occuapant, identified as Orlando Vasquez, displayed a slurred speech, unstable balance, and a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person. The two were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Driving While License Invalid-Deputies on patrol made contact with a subject identified as Juan Morales, Jr. this morning during  a traffic stops for a minor violation. A check, hoever, revealed Mr. Morales's license had been suspended. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 14, 2018

Possession of Marijuana-A deputy patrolling FM 2030 made contact with a suspicious subject found walking along the roadway early this morning. A pat-down was conducted on the subject, identified as David Galvan, who was found to have a clear plastic baggie containing marijuana in his possession. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-While on patrol, deputies came upon a GMC Acadia found improperly parked in the middle of the road in Las Hacienditas this morning.Contact was made with Jesus Martinez, who was found in a highly intoxicated state and asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object/Driving while Intoxicated-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident in Balcones Heights whereupon arrival, observed a 1998 black Ford F-150 inside of Balcones Park. Deputies were advised its driver had left the scene in another vehicle, which was located shortly thereafter. Contact was made with Jose G. De Hoyos III, who was highly intoxicated and had sustained several injuries. EMS crews were summoned to the scene and Mr. De Hoyos was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for further treatment. Further investigation determined Mr. De Hoyos had been travelling eastbound on Zaragoza Street when he lost control of the vehicle, striking a curb and fence line before rolling over.

Burglary of Habitation with intent to commit a Felony other than Theft-A complainant on the 2800 block of Frances Gates reported a known female subject had entered her home without consent and physically assaulted her inside her residence. The known female subject then left the scene prior to a deputies arrival. The complainant refused medical attention at the time of the report.

Theft-A complainant on the 9800 block of US Highway 277 reported an unknown subject had taken a leaf blower and several tools without his consent.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 13, 2018

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz./Possession of Dangerous Drugs-Bryan Palacios was placed under arrest early this morning after a traffic stop for a minor infraction led to the discovery of drugs in his possession. While doing a search, four Alprazolam pills were found on Mr. Palacio's person and a glass jar containing a green leafy substance was located in the vehicle's center console. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing and the vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.


Maverick County Daily Reports-January 12, 2018

Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle-Deputies were led on a pursuit  that ended in Zavala County this morning when a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado travelling on US Highway 57 refused to stop. The vehicle eventually came to a stop and five subjects were apprehended. This case remains under investigation. 

Public Intoxication-Kalina Trevino Rodriguez was taken into custody this afternoon after deputies who had made contact with her observed signs of intoxication. She was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Theft-A business owner on the 2300 block of Del Rio Blvd. reported unknown subject(s) had entered his business and took several items without consent. 

Burglary of Habitation-A unit responded to the 1900 block of Boulder Ridge where a resident reported unknown subject(s) had entered the home and took several items without consent. 

Wanted Person-A check on a male subject found walking on the roadway this evening revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Maverick County for Miguel Angel Perez Garcia was confirmed and Mr. Garcia was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Identity Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) are using her personal information without consent.

Theft-A complainant stated a known male subject took two deer corn bags from the store without paying for the items. A report was filed.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant stated unknown subject(s) unlawfully entered his apartment and took a television set without consent.

Wanted Person-Deputies and investigators this morning executed three aggravated sexual assault warrants in search of a male individual identified as Frank Velasquez, Jr. Deputies entered the residence on Del Rio Blvd. and placed Mr. Velasquez under arrest before transporting him to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct/Criminal Trespassing-Deputies responded to the 2100 block of Old Pioneer Road in reference to unwanted subjects on a private property. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who reported the subjects had left the property in a grey Chevrolet Impala. A search of the area found a vehicle matching the description and a traffic stop was conducted. The subjects, Cody Ray Anico, Eric Bowman, and Aris Trevino, were all taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies arrested two female subjects in the parking of a local establishment this morning after a concerned citizen reported the two subjects had been involved in a disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Christina Torres and Raquel Gonzalez, who were both found in an intoxicated state and using profane language towards one another. The two were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Adalberto Martinez was arrested at the international port of entry #2 after agents at the port detained him when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Martinez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 1500 block of Valerie reported unknown subject(s) had gained entry to her 2004 Chevrolet and took a touch screen radio and several other items without consent.

Wanted Person-Units responded to the international port of entry #1, where CBP agents detained a male subject with an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant for Jesse David De Leon out of Val Verde County was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 06, 2018

Burglary of Building-A complainant on Eidson Road reported unknown subject(s) had entered his food stand without consent, causing damages to the door frame. The subjects also took a generator and a canopy from the stand.


Wanted Person-A unit responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 after agents detained a male subject when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Dallas County for the subject, identified as Roberto Antonio Vargas, was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A deputy on patrol this evening conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle littering along the roadway. Upon making contact with the occupants, a strong alcoholic odor was found emitting from the vehicle. Consent to search the vehicle was given, where open containers were then located. The occupants, Jayme Valdez, Arnold Noriega, and Alexandra Noriega, all admitted to have been drinking alcoholic beverages. They were placed under arrest on public intoxication charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.



Maverick County Daily Reports-January 05, 2018

Recovered Narcotics-Customs agents at the port of entry #2 located a clear plastic bag containing approximately 5.4 grams of marijuana while conducting a walk thru. The narcotics were transported to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office and placed in the evidence locker.

Public Intoxication-A deputy on patrol this evening made contact with two suspicious male subjects walking along Fresno Street. The subjects, identified as Jacob Skyler Valdez and Gary Mohawk, both displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and/or an unknown drug. They were taken into custody an transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana over 2 oz. Possession of a Controlled Substance-Raul Ernesto Diaz, Jr. was placed under arrest this evening after he was found to be in possession of backpack containing approximately forty-eight (48) plastic baggies containing marijuana, along with sixteen (16) packages of THC oil. Mr. Diaz was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Disorderly Conduct-A unit responded to El Indio, Texas after receiving a call of a disturbance in progress. Contact was made with the complainant, who stated two male subjects had assaulted each other. The subjects, Eric Lee Brown and Samuel Arredondo, were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Building-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) entered his backyard without consent and took several items from his tool shed.

Reckless Driving-A deputy on patrol this afternoon conducted a traffic stop after observing a 2012 GMC Acadia travelling at a high rate of speed, disregarding a stop sign. The driver, identified as Juan Gabriel Rangel, Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Flavio Nazareth Marin at the international port of entry #2 this evening after CBP agents at the port initially detained him when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant out of Dallas County was confirmed and Mr. Marin was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A traffic stop on a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 this evening revealed one of its occupants to have an open warrant for his arrest. Michael Joseph Munoz was taken into custody after the warrant out of Austin, Texas was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Habitation-A resident on the 1000 block of Vanessa reported unknown subject(s) had entered his home with out consent and took several documents.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 03, 2018

Arson-A County unit responded to the 3200 block of Yucca Loop, where a complainant reported observing his neighbor's car on fire. Upon arrival at the scene, the complainant had extinguished the fire and contact was made with the owners of the vehicle, who were asleep at the time of the incident. A sweep of the scene found a rag placed in the gas tank, where it was determined the vehicle was intentionally placed on fire.

Wanted Person-Juan Antonio Sandoval was placed under arrest at the Maverick County Adult Probation Department this morning when a check revealed an active warrant. Mr. Sandoval was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Identity Theft-A complainant on Quail Valley Road reported unknown subject(s) have been using his social security number without consent to gain employment.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry #2 after CBP agents at the port detained a female subject when a check revealed an active warrant for her arrest. The warrant out of Corpus Christi, Texas for Barbarita Hernandez was confirmed and she was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-January 02, 2018

Credit Card Abuse-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) had used his credit card to make purchases without his consent.

Assault/Family Violence-Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Lindbergh Circle after receiving calls of a family disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female subject who reported being involved in a physical altercation with her common-law husband. The complainant further stated she had attempted to contact 911 but the husband had taken her phone and broken it. The male subject left the scene prior to a deputies arrival.

Deadly Conduct-A complainant on the 2800 block of Frances Gates Loop reported unknown subject(s) had shot at her vehicle. Deputies at the scene observed bullet holes and fragments on the vehicle and found four shell casings in the middle of the road. This case is under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Deputies responded to FM1021 this afternoon after a female subject operating a 2004 Volkswagen reported she had fallen asleep behind the wheel, causing it to veer right onto ranch property. The vehicle sustained minor damages after it had struck a fence and the driver refused medical attention at the time of the report.

Wanted Person-Eduardo Hernandez was placed under arrest at the international port of entry after CBP agents at the port detained him after a check revealed an active warrant out of Harris County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Hernandez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Carlos Casarez Barrientos after a check revealed an active warrant out of Harris County. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling Seco Mines this morning conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor violation. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Sydney Patricia Perez, who had an unknown alcoholic odor emitting from her person. Ms. Perez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Brandon Eugene Reyes was taken into custody early this morning after a traffic stop made on US Highway 57 revealed an active warrant for his arrest out of Atascosa County. Mr. Reyes was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Martin Miranda Corpus at the international port of entry #2 after he was detained by agents at the port when a check showed a warrant for his arrest. Mr. Corpus was taken to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Yesenia Perez was taken into custody at the international port of entry #2 this evening after being detained by CBP agents when a check revealed an open warrant. Ms. Perez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after the warrant was confirmed.

Maverick County Daily Reports-December 31, 2017

Hit and Run-A complainant at Gera's Bar on FM1021 reported that while leaving the bar, an unknown driver in a brown SUV struck his parked vehicle and fled the scene towards an unknown location.

Public Intoxication-A traffic stop for a minor infraction this morning near the intersection of Las Quintas Blvd. and FM1021 found the driver to be an in intoxicated state. Maribel Lira Saucedo displayed an unknown alcoholic odor emitting from her breath. She was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle-A female complainant reported she had been involved in a physical altercation with her common law husband, whereupon leaving the scene drove his pickup truck towards her. EMS crews were on hand, where she would refuse further medical attention. This case is under investigation.

Wanted Person-Agents at the port this afternoon detained a male subject whose background check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant on Jose Guadalupe Rivas was confirmed and deputies at the location took him into custody and transported him to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the international port of entry #1 this evening after agents at the port had detained a male subject whose background check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Smith County for Ramiro Torres Tizcareno was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A resident on the 100 block of Ranchitos Road reported an unknown subject had entered his property without consent and took a Blue Heeler dog from a cage located in his backyard.
