Maverick County Daily Reports-May 30, 2017

Burglary of Habitation-A unit responded to the 1900 block of Coyunda this morning after a complainant reported unknown subject(s) gained entry into her property and took a boiler without consent.

Wanted Person-Deputies were dispatched to the international port of entry 1 this evening after a male subvvject attempting to enter the United States was detained when a check revealed an active warrant out of the US Marshals. Juan Carlos Ramirez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez was arrested at the international port of entry 1 this evening after being detained when a check revealed an open warrant out of the US Marshals. Mr. Gonzalez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 29, 2017

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-A unit was dispatched to the 300 block of Buena Vista this morning in reference to a possible burglary of habitation. Upon arrival at the scene, contact was made with Ricardo Valdez and Bianca Dominguez, who both appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. Further investigation at the scene led to the discovery of a baggie containing marijuana characteristics. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. A two year old and one year old were released to the custody of their grandmother.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to the intersection of FM1021 and Crane Street this afternoon after a 2014 Dodge Journey Travelling onto FM1021 was struck by a 2008 Ford F-150 who disregarded a stop light. EMS crews were summoned to the scene, however, both parties involved refused medical attention.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 28, 2017

Public Intoxication-Deputies were dispatched to Olmos Circle in reference to possibly intoxicated subjects in the area. Upon arrival, contact was made with Jesus Raul Balderas and Juan Mata, who were both found to be intoxicated. The two were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault-A complainant on Calle Ella reported a known male subject had assaulted him outside of his residence. A second complainant at the scene reported having been assaulted by the same male subject while her friend was involved in the physical altercation.

Hit and Run-A resident on the 1600 block of Calle Encuentro reported an unknown vehicle had struck his 2007 Toyota Camry while parked and left the scene. The collision caused damages to the vehicle's passenger area.

Burglary of Building-A complainant on the 600 block of Balcones told deputies unknown subject(s) entered his residence under construction and took several items without consent.

Deceased Person-Deputies met with United States Border Patrol agents this afternoon after they had transported an undocumented citizen to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER. The thirty-four year old male subject who was being treated for dehydration, however, could not recover and passed at the scene.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the international port of entry 1 this afternoon after CBP agents detained a female subject whose check revealed an active warrant out of Bexar County. The warrant for  Rose Marie Aguirre was confirmed and she was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 27, 2017

Assault-Units responded to Tequila's Night Club on US Highway 277 North this morning, where a female employee reported being assaulted by a known male subject.

Damage To Property-A deputy was dispatched to the 1000 block of Erika after a black SUV struck a resident's chain link fence. The collision caused damage to approximately 60 feet of fenceline.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Gerardo Garza Rodriguez was placed under arrest at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this morning after agents detained him when he was found in possession of marijuana. Garza Rodriguez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Units responded to Navejas Auto Sales on FM1021 this afternoon after receiving reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival at the scene, one male subject was found laying on the ground after sustaining a wound, which appeared to be a bullet graze on his cheek. He was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for further medical treatment. Further investigation found a second male subject had been taken to the ER after suffering several gunshot wounds to his right leg. The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation.

Possession of Marijuana-Michael Ryan Becerra was placed under arrest at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57  after agents detained him when he was found in possession of approximately 4.9 grams of marijuana. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A TCIC/NCIC check on a male subject identified as Freddy Guadalupe Chavez come back with an active warrant out of Reagan County. The warrant was confirmed and Chavez was placed under arrest and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 26, 2017

Motor Vehicle Accident/Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to a business off of Highway 277 North in Siesta Acres this morning, when the driver of a 2003 Cadillac CTS lost control of the vehicle while exiting the business, striking a guard rail. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Jesse Reyes, who displayed signs of intoxication. Mr. Reyes was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Information Report-Units were dispatched to Rail Road track-mile 10 this morning, when a train struck a male subject found sleeping on the railway. The impact caused a fatal fracture and the subject, identified as Rigoberto Rodriguez Flores of Saltillo, Coahuila, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Castaneda. Rail Road Police have since taken over the investigation.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested Juan Garcia after a background check revealed an active Warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Garcia was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A unit patrolling Loma Bonita this evening made contact with a male subject found walking in the middle of the road on Calle Encuentro. Adrian Rodriguez, the subject in question, displayed signs of being highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 24, 2017

Wanted Person-Deputies made contact with City of Eagle Pass Police officers who had detained a male subject whose background revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Luis Flores, the subject in question, was taken into custody after the warrant was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling the Eagle Heights Subdivision this afternoon observed a male subject with an unstable balance walking on the roadway. Contact was made with the subject, identified as Everardo Correa Martinez, who had a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his subject, slurred speech, and blood shot eyes. Mr. Correa was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Jaime Gutierrez was placed under arrest this evening after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Uvalde County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Gutierrez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Units responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this evening after agents detained a male subject with an apparent open warrant. The warrant out of Maverick County for Jose Antonio Morales was confirmed and Mr. Morales was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A deputy responded to Potro Park this morning, where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) had gained entry into her 2015 Jeep Wrangler by breaking the driver side window. The complainant further stated her purse had been taken without consent.

Wanted Person-Johnathan Lee Torres was placed under arrest this afternoon after CBP agents had initially detained him at the international port of entry #1 when a background check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Bexar County was confirmed and Mr. Torres was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant on the 800 block of Cedro reported unknown subject(s) had taken several items without her consent.

Theft-A complainant on the 1900 block of Rosita Valley Rd. told deputies a known subject who had consent to enter her home had taken a handgun from her residence. A report was filed.

Theft-A resident on Las Quintas Blvd. reported an unknown subject had taken a lawn mower, wheel barrel, and other tools from outside the residence without consent. Shortly after, a resident on Alvin Street also reported lawn tools missing from her shed.

Wanted Person-A male subject was detained and later arrested at the United States Border Patrol Checkpoint on US Highway 57 this morning after a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Maverick County on Adrian Torres was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A deputy responded to the 1700 block of Oaxaca, where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) entered her storage at an unknown date and time and took several items without consent.

Dog Bite-A complainant reported her twelve year old daughter had been been bit on the leg by her neighbor's dog. The juvenile was taken to the STAT Emergency Center for medical treatment.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 1300 block of Willie Drive reported unknown subject(s) had broken the widow to three separate vehicles on three separate occasions.

Public Intoxication-A deputy on Chuck Wagon Road arrested a female subject identified as Magally Campos when it was determined she was highly intoxicated. Ms. Campos was given several opportunities to return to her residence, however, refused to. She was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A resident reported an unknown subject had entered his pickup truck and took several items without consent.

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry #2 this evening after a female subject attempting to enter the United States was detained when a check revealed an active warrant for her arrest. Sally Martinez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after the warrant out of Maverick County was confirmed.

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Deputies this morning responded to a power outage on Las Brisas Drive, whereupon arrival, observed a light pole had been struck by an unknown vehicle. The collision broke pole, causing it to fall onto private property and causing extensive damage to a fence. The vehicle in question was not by the location at the time of the accident. AEP crews were summoned to the location to repair the damages caused.

Wanted Person-Agents at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant on Juan Carrizales was confirmed and he was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Genesis Raul Gutierrez was placed under arrest at the international port of entry #2 this morning after CBP agents initially detained him when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant out of Maverick County was confirmed and Mr. Gutierrez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Jesse Rodriguez Jimenez was arrested at the Maverick County Adult Probation Center this afternoon after a check revealed an active warrant out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Jimenez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Units responded to the international port of entry after CBP agents detained a female subject whose background check revealed an active warrant for her arrest out of Uvalde County. The warrant for Bailey Belen was confirmed and she was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A complainant on Eidson Road reported several items had been taken from his apartment without consent by a known male subject.

Identity Theft-A complainant arrived at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office to reported unknown subject(s) had been using his personal information for their financial gain.

Wanted Person-Adan Guerrero was arrested this afternoon after a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies met with City of Eagle Pass Police officers who had detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant on Santos Aguilera was confirmed and Mr. Aguilera was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Units responded to the United States Border Patrol Checkpoint on US Highway 57 after agents had detained a male subject out of San Antonio with an open warrant. Jonathan Gutierrez was taken into custody after the warrant for his arrest was confirmed. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A reporting person  at the Memorial Jr. High parking lot this evening told deputies an unknown actor had broken the rear passenger window to her vehicle and took two designer purses without consent.

Public Intoxication-Kevin Jimenez was placed under arrest by Dubb Street after it was reported he had gone into several properties in an attempt to hide from unknown person(s). Upon contact, it was determined Mr. Jimenez was highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Credit Card Abuse-A complainant on the 100 block of Alamo reported an unknown male subject had obtained her credit card information in an attempt to defraud her.

Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to the 800 block of Frente this morning, where contact was made with a male subject found to be in an intoxicated state. Adrian Rodriguez was taken into custody after displaying a slurred speech, unstable balance, and a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A resident on Vienna Street reported unknown subject(s) had taken several items from the bed of his pickup truck without consent.

Credit Card Abuse-A complaint reported he had received a call from his financial institution, informing him unknown actor(s) were utilizing his credit card without his consent to obtain merchandise.

Wanted Person-Mario Flores was placed under arrest after being detained by patrol agents at the USBP checkpoint on Us Highway 57 this afternoon when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest out of Bexar County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Flores was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-A County unit responded to the international port of entry 1 this evening after a male subject attempting to enter the US was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant on Jonathan Flores was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-Deputies received a theft report from a complainant who stated a known male subject had taken his air compressor and sold it without consent.

Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Becker Street shortly after 2:30 AM this morning, where contact was made with a male subject who displayed signs of intoxication. Juan Gabriel Aguilar was observed to have a slurred speech, unstable movements, and bloodshot eyes. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 300 block of Lariat reported unknown subject(s) took several items from his vehicle without consent.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 13, 2017

Assault/Family Violence-A complainant on the 200 block of Frente Street reported her boyfriend arrived at her residence and began a verbal argument, which escalated into a physical confrontation. The subject, however, left prior to a deputies' arrival.

Criminal Mischief/Assault with a Deadly Weapon-A resident on the 3100 block of Tita Street reported her boyfriend engaged in a verbal argument with her and then broke a window to her residence before pulling a kitchen knife and threatening her life. The subject left the scene prior to a unit's arrival.

Deputies en route to the scene were given a description of a black Mercedes that had left the location and were able to spot the vehicle shortly thereafter entering FM1021 from Las Quintas Blvd. at a high rate of speed. The County unit, however, lost visual of the vehicle for a short time, which was found to be traveling on FM1021 at a very high rate of speed. The deputy was able to observe a large cloud of dust coming from the intersection of 1021 and Wildwood Drive, where it was determined the vehicle had been involved in a single motor vehicle accident. EMS crews were summoned to the scene and a search of the area found the driver laying on the ground with sustained injuries. The driver was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER and was later flown to San Antonio via Air-Evac. An investigation at the scene determined that the Mercedes was traveling eastbound on 1021 when it attempted to make a left turn onto Wildwood, but lost control and struck a cement covert, causing it to to go airborne and flip twice. The driver of the vehicle was then ejected. The Texas Department of Public Safety was summoned to the scene and has taken over the case.

Burglary of Vehicle-a deputy was dispatched to the 2900 block of Diaz Street, where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) had entered his vehicle and took several items without consent.

Wanted Person-Jose Antonio Tellez was arrested at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 this morning after being detained when a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. Mr. Tellez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Bartalome Galan was taken into custody this afternoon when a check yielded an active warrant for his arrest out of Maverick County. Mr. Galan was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Happy Mother's Day from the Maverick County Sheriff's Office

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber celebrated Mother's Day with members of his staff this morning. The Sheriff, who shared words of praise for his staffers, also invited an official from the Consulado de Mexico, who read a poem in homage to mothers. Sheriff Schmerber and the staff at the Maverick County Sheriff's Department and Tom Bowles Detention Center wish all mothers a very Happy Mother's Day.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 11, 2017

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 277 this morning, shortly after the 11:30 hour. Units were en route to the scene, whereupon arrival, observed a Ford Ranger had struck  a cattle hauling tractor trailer from behind. CBP agents assisting at the scene observed a male driver pinned inside the vehicle and EMS&Fire Rescue crews arrived with jaws of life tools to extract the subject. The male was immediately transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER, where he would later succumb to injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety was at the scene and has since taken over the investigation.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject indentifed as Hector Olivares this afternoon after City of Eagle Pass Police officers had detained him when a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. Mr. Olivares was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle-A complainant on the 100 block of Sandalo reported an unknown subject gained entry into his vehicle without consent and took a car radio.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on FM1021 this morning after the driver of a 2011 GMC Terrain told deputies she fell asleep behind the wheel while traveling westbound, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and strike several objects, including a tree. EMS crews were summoned to the scene, where the driver refused further medical attention.

Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies patrolling Chilo Street this morning made contact with the occupant of a Dodge Ram with its lights on. Upon making contact, the deputies observed approximately seven baggies of cocaine and eleven used syringes in plain view. Enrique Mendiola was taken into custody at the locale and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing after being medically cleared by EMS crews.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 10, 2017

Wanted Person-A unit responded to the international port of entry 2 this morning shortly after midnight, where CBP agents had detained a female subject when a check revealed an open warrant for her arrest. Rosario Mata was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center after the warrant was confirmed.

Theft-A deputy on patrol was waived down by a citizen, who reported he had seen a male subject running while carrying a television before being picked up by a Ford F-150. A traffic stop was later conducted on a vehicle matching the description on Ginebra Street and the subject, identified as Christopher Lopez, was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Jacky Lee Ibarra was placed under arrest this morning after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Moore County. The warrant was confirmed and Ibarra was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 277 after agents had detained a male subject found to be in possession of marijuana. Brian Keith Berry was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention  Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-A County unit responded the 1300 block of Maria Esther this evening, where upon arrival deputies observed a male subject on the street. Contact was made with Juan Aguilar, who dispalyed a slurred speech and an unknown alcoholic odor emitting from his person. Aguilar was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-A deputy met with a resident on the 700 block of Barbara who had reported unknown subject(s) had entered his property and took his German Shepard puppy. The resident also advised a YETI cooler had gone missing from the bed of his truck a few days prior.

Wanted Person-Ebadi Mahmoud was taken into custody at the international port of entry 1 this afternoon after a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Mahmoud was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Contact was made with City of Eagle Pass Police officers by Andy's Car Wash on FM1021 this evening after they had detained a male subject with an active warrant out of Maverick County. Victor Velasquez was placed under arrest after the warrant was confirmed. He would then be transferred to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a female subject identified as Maria Olalde this evening at the international port of entry #1 when a check revealed an active warrant out of Bexar County. The warrant was confirmed and Olalde was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Arturo Soto was placed under arrest at the international port of entry #1 this afternoon after a background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant was confirmed and he was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to US Highway 277 by mile marker 544 this afternoon, whereupon arrival, observed a 2005 Nissan Titan had rolled over on its side in a wooded area. EMS crews arrived at the scene, however, the driver refused medical attention at the time of the report. The Texas Department of Public Safety has since taken over the case.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on the 400 block of Naciemento reported unknown subject(s) had entered his home and took a rifle without consent. A report was filed.

Wanted Person-A deputy constable conducting traffic patrol conducted a stop on a 2000 Chevrolet pickup on an infraction, where it was discovered that the driver, Sergio Mendez, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Mr. Mendez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Recovered Stolen Items-Contact was made with a male subject who resides on the 100 block of Las Moras this evening, who told deputies he had several stolen items inside the home. Written consent was given to enter the home and retrieve the items, where they gathered and taken to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for safekeeping. This case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.

Wanted Person-Gerardo Flores was arrested this morning after City of Eagle Pass Police officers detained him after background check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. A second subject, Arturo Hernandez, was also detained for similar circumstances. Both warrants were confirmed and the two were taken into custody before being transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-a complainant on the 300 block of Wild Turkey reported unknown actor(s) had taken his pickup truck from his yard at an unknown time.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Jesus Castro this afternoon after City of Eagle Pass officers had detained him when a check revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Castro was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft-Units responded to the 700 block of Barbara this afternoon, where a complainant reported unknown subject(s) had taken a black grill and table chairs from the side of her apartment during the overnight hours.

Assault/Family Violence-County units were dispatched to the 3800 block of Cross Creek this evening, where a complainant reported her boyfriend had assaulted her by pushing her and striking her in the facial area. She further stated that he took away her phone when she attempted to call 911 for assistance. The male subject then left the area when he took her vehicle without consent.

Public Intoxication-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Enrique Pargas early this morning after he was found in a highly intoxicated state. Mr. Pargas was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies patrolling Eidson Road this morning observed a vehicle with an open door. Upon inspection of the vehicle, contact was made with the occupant, identified as Juan Fabian Soliz, whose background check revealed two active warrants for his arrest. The warrants were confirmed and Mr. Soliz was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Habitation-A resident on Siesta Drive reported unknown actor(s) had entered her residence and took a television without consent.

Burglary of Habitation-A deputy was dispatched to the first block of Mary Drive, where a complainant stated unknown subject(s) entered by breaking the front door an took several items without consent.

Injury to Child-Deputies met with a school official on campus this afternoon, where a five year old was found with several bruises on her body. This case is under investigation.

Public Intoxication-Units responded to Callejon Terran early this evening, where they encountered a male subject found walking in the middle of the street. Upon contact, Eberardo Correa Martinez was found in an intoxicated state, displaying a slurred speech and an unknown alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center.

Theft-Deputies spoke with an employee at the Dollar General located on FM1021 this evening after an unknown male subject had left the store without having paid for several items.

Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies responded to the United States Border Patrol south station this afternoon after agents had detained two female subjects on two separate violations. Belinda Olson was taken into custody after she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The second subject, identified as Melissa Romero, was arrested on parole violation charges out of Bexar County. The two were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Structural Fire-Units responded to the Siesta Acres sector of northern Maverick County this afternoon after receiving reports of a tree on fire. Upon arrival to the address on Tina Drive, it deciphered that the home itself, and not the tree, was engulfed in flames. Deputies were then able to safely remove an elderly couple from the residence. Eagle Pass Fire Department crews were at the scene and were able to extinguish the fire and arson investigators have taken over investigations. The Maverick County Sheriff's Department thanks Pct. 3 Constables and the Texas Department of Public Safety for their assistance.

Criminal Mischief-A complainant on the 3800 block of Iris Street reported unknown actor(s) had shot at her vehicle with a bb gun. The approximate value of damages was unknown at the time of the report.

Maverick County Daily Reports-May 01, 2017

Theft-A complainant reported unknown subject(s) had taken his wallet without consent after he had left it at a convenience store.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 East this morning after the driver of a 2005 Toyota Tacoma was involved in a single motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, contact was made with Juan Villarreal, who stated he lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a deer that had crossed the roadway. The swerve caused the Tacoma to roll on its side, sustaining moderate damage. Mr. Villarreal refused medical attention at the time of this report and this case remains under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to the intersection of Olmos Street and Eidson Road this afternoon after a 2007 Ford F-150 was involved in accident with a 2008 Mercury Milan. Upon making contact with both parties, it was determined the F-150, which sustained damages to its front end, had rear-ended the Milan while it attempted to make a turn onto Olmos Street. The driver of the Mercury was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for treatment. This case remains under investigation.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant on the 1700 block of Las Quintas Blvd. reported unknown actor(s) had entered his residence through a bedroom window and took a generator without his consent.

Cruelty to Animals-Deputies responded to the 300 block of Canal, where a complainant stated unknown actor(s) had shot and killed her two dogs. She further stated the dogs had been located by the canal area.

Maverick County Daily Reports-April 30, 2017

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry #1 after agents had detained a male subject with an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Tarrant County For Eduardo Martinez was confirmed and Mr. Martinez was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Facility-Daniel Reynaldo Ibarra was taken into custody this morning after he was found to be in possession of contraband inside the non-contact visitation area of the Tom Bowles Detention Center. Among the prohibited items that were found in his possession were a mobile telephone and a pocketknife. He was escorted to another area of the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Family Violence/Resisting Arrest-Deputie s responded to a family violence call on the 100 block of Ruela Street this afternoon, where upon arrival, met with the complainant who reported she had been assaulted by her husband. Roman Mendez Rodriguez, who was in his vehicle at the time, stepped out of the vehicle and charged at deputies, who were able to subdue him and place him under arrest. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Hit and Run-A complainant on Lety Street reported an unknown vehicle had struck the driver side door to his vehicle and fled the area in an unknown direction. A report was filed.

Disorderly Conduct-A County unit was dispatched to a residence on the 600 block of Paco this morning after receiving a call about a possible disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant, who reported a known male subject was verbally aggressive and had been using vulgar language towards him. Further investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Juan Jose Reyes. Mr. Reyes was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person-Deputies on the 800 block of Linares Street arrested Alma Fernandez-Rodriguez this afternoon after a check reveal an active warrant out of Midland, Texas. The warrant was confirmed and Ms. Fernandez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Vehicle- A resident on the 1400 block of Agarita reported his 2001 Ford F-150 had burglarized by unknown actor(s) during the early morning hours. An in-dash screen stereo was reported missing.


Burglary of Habitation-A complainant reported unknown actor(s) entered his home on Wipff Road and took a television from the living room without consent.

Motor Vehicle Accident-The driver of 2015 Dodge Charger was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center this evening after being rear ended by a 2014 Ford F-150 at the intersection of US Highway 277 and North Street. The ford vehicle had left the scene of the accident, however, the driver of the Charger followed the vehicle to its residence.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a male subject identified as Hector Barrientos thid morning after a background check on the subject had revealed an active warrant out of Maverick County. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Id Theft-A resident on Cortina Circle reported unknown subject(s) had obtained her personal information in an attempt to defraud her.

Theft-A deputy responded to the 800 block of Merida, where a resident reported a lawnmower had been taken from the bed of his pickup truck.
